Sheetz reaches over 2 million
EV charging sessions

Sheetz installed their first EV charger in 2012. Now Sheetz has installed 650 EV chargers at 95 locations, making it one of the largest charging networks in the country, according to the company.

“Our goal at Sheetz has always been to be the ultimate one-stop-shop, to help customers to refuel — or recharge — your car and refresh your body. With the market for electric vehicles gaining popularity, Sheetz is committed to building a network now for the future needs of our customers”, said Trevor Walter, vice president of petroleum supply management at Sheetz.

Maverik to acquire Kum & Go

Longtime PriceAdvantage customer Maverik has announced a deal to acquire the 400 store chain Kum & Go. Convenience Store News reported the deal here.

The combination of Maverik and Kum & Go creates a best-in-class convenience store operator across the Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions with a differentiated value proposition across fuel, foodservice and inside store offerings, according to the two companies.

Based in Salt Lake City,  Maverik — Adventure’s First Stop operates nearly 400 locations across 12 western states, making it the largest independent fuel marketer in the Intermountain West. Locations include Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.

Sheetz drops fuel price to $1.85

As reported by USA Today, once again Sheetz is offering a promotional discount, this time on E85 flex fuel.

E85, or flexible fuel, is offered at more than 375 Sheetz stores throughout Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Ohio and North Carolina.

Sheetz has been using PriceAdvantage as their retail fuel pricing software, fully integrated with their Skyline signs, since 2009.

Announcing version 2023.1

Parkland USA names
Donna Sanker as President

Convenience Store Decisions announced that Parkland USA has named Donna Sanker as president. The article can be found here.

Sanker has led Parkland’s Canadian segments since 2019, during which time she provided strong leadership and strengthened Parkland’s Canadian business.

“As president of our USA Segment, Donna will now lead and support our team and strengthen our ONE Parkland culture,” the company announced.

Donna’s experience includes over 16 years at BP where she was Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

Parkland USA joined the Skyline Products family in 2022, implementing PriceAdvantage across all their stores and integrating to Skyline signs for full closed-loop price change validation.

Sheetz names Joe Sheetz as
chairman of the board

According to CSNews, Sheetz has named Joe Sheetz as chairman of the board of directors. A link to the CSNews article can be found here.

As chairman, Joe Sheetz will now oversee the board’s activities as they relate to corporate governance and risk, executive appointments and compensation, and long-term planning.
