PriceAdvantage Releases New Integration with GasBuddy Business Pages, Giving Fuel Retailers More Control When Promoting Fuel Prices

Integration ensures more accurate fuel prices on GasBuddy, the app used by millions of drivers daily to decide where to fill up; update happens as often as every 15 minutes

Colorado Springs, Colo., May 28, 2020PriceAdvantage, a patented software solution that helps retailers optimize and manage fuel prices, then automatically execute and verify price changes to the POS, pumps, and price signs, announced today a new integration with GasBuddy Business Pages, the leading SaaS B2B platform for the retail fuel and convenience store industry. The integration provides PriceAdvantage and GasBuddy Business Pages customers more frequency and accuracy when communicating new prices to GasBuddy, the travel and navigation app that is used by more North American drivers to save money on gas.

This new integration ensures that consumers view the most recent and accurate fuel prices on GasBuddy by communicating a retailer’s current fuel prices as often as every fifteen minutes. It puts public-facing prices in the control of the retailer, rather than have them solely rely on crowd-sourced prices.

“This integration gives fuel retailers greater control over when and which commodities they update on the GasBuddy app,” shared John Keller, Division Director of PriceAdvantage. “It provides retailers 100% accuracy between what consumers see at the pump and what they view on the internet.”

GasBuddy Business Pages is an award-winning business solution suite for fuel brands and convenience store owners to manage all location listings across the digital landscape, promote store sites and amenities, and connect with customers.

“GasBuddy has the largest addressable audience of fuel and convenience store shoppers before they embark on their trip, so it’s essential that your fuel prices are accurate,” said Jordan Grossman, EVP of advertising sales at GasBuddy. “Our fuel and c-store partners will now have the power to confidently implement price changes to our platform, ensuring their prices are getting in front of drivers quickly.”

The integration is an enhancement feature of PriceAdvantage Version 2020.1, as PriceAdvantage and GasBuddy are decade-long partners in the fuel marketing world.

What a User Conference!

We just finished a fantastic PriceAdvantage User Conference, where we were able to spend quality time with so many of our customers. The attendees loved the opportunity to see where the product is heading, and to provide direct feedback into what PriceAdvantage should become. They also said how much they enjoyed spending time with other like-minded retail fuel pricing folks who understand their world. They also enjoyed the time they spent interacting directly with our development team.

This is our third User Conference, and the attendees this year all told us they definitely want us to continue having these conferences.

The PriceAdvantage team gets so much out of these interactions, both in the group settings, and in the 1:1 sessions. There are always brilliant new ideas that come up, ideas that no one individual could come up with on their own.

Welcome, Mountain Express

The PriceAdvantage team would like to welcome Mountain Express as our newest customer and partner. Mountain Express operates in a commission model, as a wholesale distributor. The company will utilize PriceAdvantage to streamline and automate site-specific fuel pricing strategies for 70 commission sites throughout the United States.

Mountain Express selected PriceAdvantage based on the software’s ability to consolidate critical market data, such as OPIS data feeds and wholesale replacement costs, to help optimize fuel prices then push those prices to the store point-of-sale system, price signs, and pumps and then finally verify that those price changes were made. Removal of store staff from the pricing process makes Mountain Express attractive to retailers who are interested in the commission model and will help fuel the chain’s future growth.

“Our business model is very attractive to retailers interested in converting to commission sites. By automating fuel pricing from our headquarters to each store site, we alleviate store personnel from the time-consuming task of conducting competitor surveys and posting daily prices,” shared Ali Husain, Mountain Express COO. “Additionally, PriceAdvantage allows us to utilize our own algorithm and pricing strategies to establish competitive prices that will attract customers, give them choices, entice them to loyalty programs and deliver a first class consumer experience – as well as help us maximize fuel volumes and profitability.”
